After collecting videogame merchandise for years now I have picked up a few videogame guides from different publishers. I find them very entertaining to read and they look amazing on my bookshelf in my collection. They are also really handy for those tricky and confusing moments in games. But are they really that useful these days or are they just for those hardcore collector’s? The reason I’m starting to think this is because in this connected world we live in nowadays you can literally look up guides for free using sites like IGN and even more whenever a new game comes out there is always bound to be someone who has played through a game on YouTube. I think it depends on who you ask but for me personally I think that I like to have a phisical copy of a guide that is officially licensed by the games publisher if I can find if not I love checking out sites like ign to find out info on games and all there interesting secrets.
Are game guides worth it in 2017?
